then you might consider getting a bunch of color matched rattle cans and repainting the cap, side view mirrors and wheels. might have to wait for it to warm up before you attempt those though.

Way to be productive! A lot of these items are sounding very familiar to my project. In fact, I have my new door hinge-pins and hope to put them in sometime this week. I still haven’t gotten used to the amount of force it takes to close my doors, and frankly, I don’t want to get used to it.

Good work. Cool cap! I like the height and front window.

Thanks! Oddly enough, you’re in the minority of those who like the cap. I’m indifferent regarding it, but since nobody wants to help me lift it, It’s staying.

I’ll just vacuum it out, throw in an air mattress, and call it a day. I’m not going to be camping that often.

Yeah, the effort with bad door pins can be disturbing.

The cap just needs a second cleaning, and the mirrors are good when they’re just black. I’ll definitely respray the wheels, though. Maybe I’ll look into powdercoating.

That reminds me that there’s a small moisture leak in the left taillight. I need to get a junkyard unit next weekend.

Alright alright, just saying though, as a teenager who had a truck with a canopy and a bed/shelf.. I recommend it.

Are those beauty rings on steel wheels? Have you picked a colour to paint the wheels yet>?

in the US it runs about 100/wheel that doesn’t include the cost of unmounting, and remounting, balancing and replacing the valve stems

Yup! Beauty rings. I’m thinking of going for a charcoal grey, just to spice things up a bit.
